In some contexts where they are installed different browsers can run into this problem: receive an email containing a internet link but clicking on it nothing happens and then you have to copy and insert it directly into your browser address bar to view it. This problem on Outlook Express can be resolved as follows: Open "Internet Options" present in "Control Panel" and in "Advanced - under Browsing" uncheck the box next to "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts". Also in Internet Options Programs tab press the "Reset Web Settings" then click "Yes". Finally, we must register the following DLLs: Outlook Express and Internet Explorer should not be closed. Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 /i urlmon.dll" (without quotes) click on ok. Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 mshtml.dll" (without quotes) click on ok. Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 /i shdocvw.dll" (without quotes) click on ok. Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 browseui.dll" (without quotes) click on ok. Start -> Run -> type "regsvr32 msjava.dll" (without quotes) click on ok. |
