When you go to visit sites via the https protocol and your browser will show an error, usually DNS type error, this is a problem due to the encryption of Internet Explorer. The problem is also with windows update because it uses the same protocol.

To see if this is your case go to the IE menu "? - About Internet Explorer ". Verify that the Cipher is not a 0 (zero) bit.
If it is set to zero, there are different solutions depending on your version of IE.

IE version less than or equal to 5 updated IE, and it should disappear;
IE version 6 or higher, try to uninstall and reinstall IE.

If, however, as in my case, reinstalling IE will not solve the errors are 2 possibilities that remain, use Firefox for sites with https protocol, or restore the operating system that certainly solves the problem.
